Droplet is an all-in-one solution to help organizers manage events and save more time by doing less organizing.
Challenges
Imagine that you are organizing a sports club, each week you need to set up a team workout! Every person has his/her plans, some people are easy to manage, but others, you need to chase them to see if they can make it. with all these hassles you may find it a little hard to plan a team workout each week. 🤦♂️
Solution
Droplet is an all-in-one solution for manage, organize and communicate without bouncing between Emails, IMs, Spreadsheets, and Calendars.
With an easy-to-use UI, you can just check for other’s availability, chat with teammates to find out what they are up to, set up events, and even chase for replies automatically!
Overall structure
When I joined Droplet the MVP was created and tested with some early adopters, so I started to analyze all of the data on user testing and user research.After discussing with stakeholders we defined the main structure and a list of features we needed for the app, then we had to create easier flow and define how users can accomplish different tasks.The main goal for Droplet is to make sure that users can easily use it and achieve their goals.
55 Rule! What!??
We started to create an internal rule based on the user persona, called the 55 rule!
In short, that means whatever we design it should be easy to understand and easy to use for a 55 years old person, it helps us to shape the easiest version of Droplet as it is now.
Testing & Feedbacks
Each time we want to create a new feature, after all the discussions and wireframing we design the whole flow and share the prototype with our early adopters to make sure that we’ve created something that our users can understand and it respects our 55 rule!
A chatting solution, with more improvements
Today, we need to connect with others more than before and when we want to organize something, we need more than just a chatting app!
We have to access our calendar or share an event via email and ask in chat if they can make it, bouncing in different apps and at the end, falling all over the places.
Droplet has the exact solution! you can chat with friends, access your calendar instantly and create events from within the chat, and share with friends.

Droplet calendar is not just for adding events, you can add your availability and let others see when you are available and plan for something much easier than before.
Droplet atomic design system
Typography book
To create an expandable design system for Droplet, we followed the Atomic design principle.
We started by choosing Poppins font for Droplet because it’s so easy to read in different shapes and also we liked it. 😅
Then we created our typography books and added all of the needed weight and size to our design library.
Icon library
We used Feather icon for the basic icons, but we created our custom icon for different use cases and add them to our Icon library.
Assets library
We add every needed element to our asset library and use them on different screens, this way, we can produce new screens much easier and faster! And then when we change a small property we are pretty sure, it will be updated in all of the previous screens.
